Hit holiday event 'Lightscape' is returning to San Antonio, tickets on sale now

Lightscape, the touring holiday event, is returning to the San Antonio Botanical Garden in November. 

It definitely doesn't feel like the holiday season outside in San Antonio, but one of the city's newest traditions is getting the fun started early. Tickets for Lightscape at the San Antonio Botanical Garden are on sale now, months ahead of the opening date. 

San Antonio's holiday scene is home to the famous illuminated River Walk, drives through Windcrest, and now, the winding trail of dazzling lights at the botanical garden. Last holiday season, it was hard to miss photos from the multi-week event on social media throughout the holidays.

The dates for this year's installment are scheduled for November 11 through January 8. 

"Be enchanted by magical light displays set along a beautifully illuminated one-mile path winding through the San Antonio Botanical Garden," promotions say. "Perfect for the whole family, this exciting event sold out on many dates last year, so be sure to buy tickets early."

Tickets are available for general admission, VIP experiences, and parking.

The general admission tier offers prices based on peak and off-peak dates, the cost differs by $2. Tickets for adults and kids during peak time periods are $28 and $18, respectively. Non-peak tickets are $26 and $16. 

Lightscape is a touring light show made popular in the U.K. and Chicago. 

The experience includes a mile-long path of displays including the Cathedral of Light with 100,000 twinkling bulbs. Guests also have the chance to nosh on seasonal eats like s'mores and boozy hot chocolate.
